The collection is composed of the articles that were published during 1996 - 2002 in the independent scientific journal of "Acta Eurasica". We consider Eurasia as a space, which is approximately equal to the territory of the Russian Imperia/ Soviet Union. The parts of the book illustrate three variants of obvious and unobvious, perceived and unperceived "meetings" of the people and myths: at different epochs - at concrete time and place; in the specific light of relations between people and the state; in the process of myth creation, as well as the one being created by the authors and followers of the Eurasian ideology.
The book is intended for historians, ethnologists, social anthropologists, sociologists, and political scientists. It will be useful for humanitarian university teachers and students and it will attract much of intelligent readers' attention.
This publication is fulfilled at the support of the Ford Foundation
